Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence of the UK’s sovereigns since 1837 and today is the administrative headquarters of the Monarch. Although in use for many official events and receptions held by The King, the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace are open to visitors every summer. The palace boasts 775 rooms, including 19 State Rooms, 52 Royal and guest bedrooms, 188 staff bedrooms, 92 offices, and 78 bathrooms. Visitors can explore the lavishly furnished State Rooms, which are used for ceremonial occasions and official entertaining by His Majesty The King. The palace also features the Royal Mews and The King’s Gallery, which are open to the public on selected dates.
